Your people skills, culinary talents, and eye for detail will be essential as you manage day-to-day sushi operations and assist with bottom line profitability. Focus on company standards regarding merchandising, highlighting quality, freshness and uniqueness of products Follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure we are consistently showcasing our high standards and giving our guests meals they can’t find elsewhere Share your knowledge and passion for food while educating customers and employees. Effectively multitask and balance prep work while ensuring guests meals are prepared in a timely manner with the highest standards of quality maintained Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities Required Qualifications 2 or more years' experience working as a prep and/or line cook Experience leading a team Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products and services Knife skills Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years' experience making sushi and other types of Japanese cuisine Highly proficient with cutting and working with whole fish Associate's degree in Culinary Arts At Wegmans, we’ve long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
