We are seeking a Senior Dell Hardware & Network Engineer with extensive experience in end-to-end deployment of Dell enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Dell products and a proven track record of new system installations in industrial environments.

This role will focus on the planning, installation, configuration, and optimization of a full-scale Dell hardware and network implementation. The candidate should be capable of handling everything from racking and cabling to network design, system hardening, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment of a full Dell-based IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and security components

  • Rack, stack, and cable Dell hardware, ensuring proper power distribution and cooling in an industrial environment.

  • Configure Dell PowerEdge servers for optimal performance, redundancy, and security.

  • Deploy and manage Dell EMC storage solutions (PowerStore, PowerMax, Unity, VxRail, or Isilon) for scalable and high-performance data management.

  • Implement Dell PowerSwitch networking (Layer 2/Layer 3), including VLAN configurations, spanning tree, link aggregation, and security policies.

  • Set up Dell firewalls and security appliances to ensure secure access and network segmentation.

  • Deploy VMware, Windows Server, and Linux environments on Dell hardware with best practices for performance and redundancy.

  • Implement Dell OpenManage Enterprise for centralized hardware monitoring and lifecycle management.

  • Conduct BIOS/firmware updates, system hardening, and backup configurations to ensure system integrity.

  • Perform network performance testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning to optimize throughput and latency.

  • Document architectural design, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future maintenance and scaling.

  • Provide post-installation support and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams.

Required Experience & Skills
  • Dell certifications (mandatory): Dell EMC Proven Professional , Dell Networking Specialist , or equivalent up-to-date Dell credentials required.

  • 10+ years of experience with Dell enterprise hardware and network engineering.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers (installation, RAID configuration, firmware updates, and troubleshooting).

  • Deep expertise in Dell EMC storage solutions, including SAN/NAS setup, replication, failover strategies, and performance tuning.

  • Advanced knowledge of Dell PowerSwitch networking, including Layer 3 routing, QoS, BGP/OSPF, firewall integration, and security policies.

  • Familiarity with Dell security solutions (e.g., SonicWall, SecureWorks, or integrated firewall solutions).

  • Experience with Dell OpenManage Enterprise for hardware lifecycle and performance monitoring.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, SD-WAN, VPNs, and enterprise network security best practices.

  • Hands-on experience configuring VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM virtualization on Dell hardware.

  • Proven track record working in industrial environments (manufacturing, logistics, energy, or similar ruggedized IT setups).

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware failures, performance bottlenecks, and network disruptions efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating SCADA, industrial IoT (IIoT), or edge computing solutions with Dell infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies in industrial settings.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements in industrial control systems (ICS) and best practices for securing critical infrastructure.
