Fellowships last from one to three years and support NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration, and astrobiology. Research Focus: The research will interpret data from Mars orbiter and lander/rover missions, including geology, geomorphology, rock distribution, landscape development, surface characteristics from remote sensing, landing site selection, layered sedimentary deposits, and tectonics. This work supports Mars exploration efforts by analyzing orbital data and understanding surface features. References include works by Golombek et al., 2008, 2010, 2006, covering Martian surface properties, tectonics, erosion rates, and climate change.
