Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Columbia, South Carolina is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Duties:
• Incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair and conditioning of the entire playing area of the golf course.
• Directing and supervising subordinate employees in phases of course maintenance to include mowing, fertilizing and maintaining tees, fairways, greens, and roughs.
• Supervises the cleaning, painting and general repair of buildings, fences, bridges, and shelters directly affecting golf play to include the completion of general landscaping projects.
Requirements:
Work experience performing duties as described above.
Must be able to obtain a DOD Pest Management Certificate.
Working knowledge of chemicals used on insects and for weeds and brush control.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Must obtain within the first 6 months a DOD Pest Management Certificate with the first 6 months.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Enviromental requirements, licenses, background checks, etc.)
Compensation:
$70,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year.
