This legendary NYC-based interior design studio and high-end furnishings store is expanding its team. They specialize in a refined mix of 19th and 20th century classics, including late century modern, Asian antiques and custom pieces from some of the most influential and creative designers and manufacturers. Their design work is featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, New York Magazine, World of Interiors.

The store is a labyrinth of beauty and they are truly splendid people.

Position:

Interior Design Assistant

• Support all aspects of the design process, with a focus on CAD, 2D, and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling design proposals and client presentations.
• Draft precise digital floor plans, elevations, detail drawings, and RCPs in AutoCAD.
• Compile detailed schedules for plumbing, hardware, finishes, lighting, etc.
• Prepare work orders for design showrooms and vendor RFPs.
• Maintain and manage the sample library, including placing sample orders.
• Track FF&E orders and oversee delivery schedules.
• Assist with site surveys, contractor walkthroughs, and client site visits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and MacOS applications; experience with Enscape, Revit, and Rhino is a plus.
• A proactive, creative mindset with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Demonstrated passion for design, architecture, and art.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Residential design studio experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be available to work in person in Manhattan.

Salary: $85k - $100k depending on experience
