Manufacturing Converting Supervisor - Relocation Assistance!

Privately-held and family owned operation is seeking a Converting Supervisor to join their growing team! This is a permanent position, and relocation assistance will be provided to the right candidate. The Manufacturing Converting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all converting operations within the manufacturing plant. This includes managing a team of operators, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the plant, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in converting operations, specifically within the carton, container, corrugated, conversion, paper mill, and cardboard industries.

Job Details

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the converting operations within the manufacturing plant, ensuring the production of high-quality products.
• Lead a team of operators, providing them with the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
• Ensure the safety of all employees by enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the converting operations, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless production flow and meet production targets.
• Manage and maintain converting equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Generate and present regular reports on converting operations performance to senior management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a converting manufacturing environment is required.
• Extensive knowledge of converting operations, specifically within the carton, container, corrugated, conversion, paper mill, and cardboard industries.
• Proven experience in managing a team of operators, with a strong ability to lead and motivate.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing plant.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to manage and maintain converting equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate, with relocation assistance provided.
