Job Description

We are seeking skilled painters to prime, paint, and touchup vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes. The role requires masking, unmasking, and adjusting masking as necessary to meet specifications. Additional tasks include cleaning and conditioning parts, performing light bodywork, and maintaining painting equipment. You will also mix all types of paints to ensure proper color, formula, viscosity, and consistency, as well as apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.

Responsibilities

• Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
• Mask, unmask, or adjust masking to meet specifications.
• Clean, wash, and condition parts as necessary.
• Perform light bodywork as required.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, adjust, and reassemble painting equipment for proper operation.
• Flush tanks, hoses, and guns prior to color changeovers.
• Mix paints for proper color, formula, viscosity, and consistency.
• Perform titrations and adjust chemicals in paint processes.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing.
• Maintain work area and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks.
• Inspect products before, during, and after the paint process.
• Transport and move parts, subassemblies, or assemblies using material handling equipment.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available for full-time employees, with contractors eligible upon conversion. The bonus totals $1,500, dispersed at intervals over the first year of employment.

Work Environment

You will work inside paint booths in a hot environment with strong paint odors, requiring a full paint suit and respirator. Therefore, candidates should not have facial hair to ensure proper respirator fit. The dress code includes jeans, steel toes, and a clean work shirt. Current staffing levels aim to increase to around 400 employees. The culture promotes both independent work and collaboration. Minimal overtime is expected initially, expanding to approximately 40-45 hours per week once fully staffed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47320.00 - $54912.00/yr.

Sign On Bonus: Eligible for full time employees (Contractors would be eligible upon conversion)
