Who They're Looking For:

Our client is open to two types of candidates:

  • Entry-level candidates with a degree in Accounting who are eager to learn and grow in the real estate industry.

  • Experienced Property Accountants who may not have a degree but bring solid, hands-on knowledge of accruals, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and ideally CAM/OPEX reconciliations.

Salary Range:

  • $55,000 - $70,000 , with potential flexibility for candidates who bring prior real estate accounting experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage general ledger accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties.

  • Perform monthly journal entries and maintain GLs.

  • Analyze income statement variances and assist in property budgeting and reforecasting.

  • Review leases to ensure accurate billing and proper recoveries.

  • Prepare reconciliations for CAM, property taxes, insurance, and utilities.

  • Build strong relationships with tenants to resolve disputes around expenses.

  • Assist in quarterly property valuations and audit support.

  • Work closely with AP/AR and Lease Administration teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR equivalent hands-on experience in a similar accounting role.

  • At least 1+ years of accounting experience (commercial real estate experience highly preferred).

  • Experience with Yardi or Argus is a plus.

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and a natural problem solver.

  • 100% in-office with as-needed flexibility to work from home on occasion as needed
