Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Guaranteed Hours: Not Specified Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Medical Imaging License | Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date Certifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist | American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) | Prior to Start Date Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date Must-Have: Temporary license accepted prior to start Job Description: - Demonstrates and understands the scope of responsibility within their license. - Properly identifies the patient, sets up for procedures, and cleans rooms appropriately after the procedure. - Confirms, reviews, and prepares orders with correct coding for physicians. - Sets up, prepares, and cleans exam rooms before and after patient procedures. - Maintains room supplies and discusses the patient’s history, educating them about the exam. - Ensures inpatients are properly identified using proper identification standards. - Prepares and administers contrast under the direction of a physician according to standard operating procedures. - Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure. - Prepares physician fee slips by coding the specific procedure, staying up-to-date on the charging CPT coding system, and completing charges for exams using Epic and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). - Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
