INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Penguin Random House (PRH) Legal Department is seeking a first-year law student for a Summer 2025 internship. In line with PRH’s mission to ignite a universal passion for reading by creating books for everyone and our company’s commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the legal profession, applicants from underrepresented backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Interns will be exposed to a wide range of legal disciplines, including defamation, copyright, right of publicity, privacy, trademark, and commercial law. They will conduct legal research, review books for legal concerns, draft contracts, and assist PRH’s legal team in tackling the variety of challenges associated with being the world’s largest publisher of English language books.
Interns work four days a week (Monday through Thursday) for ten weeks. The program is run out of PRH’s New York Headquarters but offers remote flexibility. Compensation is $21 per hour. Here are all of the specific program details:
