About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead and enhance its financial resource development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive strategies to secure the necessary funds to support the organization's mission. This includes overseeing major gift programs, annual campaigns and planned giving initiatives. The CDO will work closely with the executive team, board members, and community stakeholders to cultivate relationships and ensure a sustainable and diverse funding base. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should be dynamic, experienced, articulate, and creative. The role requires a leader who can inspire and engage others in the philanthropic process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, a deep understanding of donor stewardship, and the ability to effectively communicate the organization's vision and impact. A strategic thinker with the capacity to innovate and adapt to changing circumstances, the CDO will play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of the organization. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred, in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, business, or a related discipline.
