Position Summary This intern will provide data science support to scientists, engineers, and project leaders from multiple teams within Technical Operations. Primary responsibilities Include: (1) Dashboard Development, (2) Automation of Data Entry (3) Data Mining of Historic Data. Goals for this intern will be to provide data insights requested by cross-functional teams and to create automated scripts for data capture and entry using Python or SQL. This internship offers the potential to have an impact on development of dashboards that would be utilized by multiple departments within Tech Ops to enhance inter-departmental collaboration, reduce data silos, and improve process understanding. Additionally, this intern will automate data mining and data entry tasks that are applicable for multiple departments within Technical Operations. The Intern- MSAT/Data Science will report to the Associate Director of Data Science. Job Responsibilities Support multiple departments within Technical Operations with acquiring data and providing insights Learn how data is structured and managed within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Partner with scientists and engineers from MSAT, Process Development, Quality Control and Pre-Clinical Manufacturing Maintain Python and SQL code Collect requests and feedback from scientists, engineers, and project leaders Present work to key stakeholders Minimum Requirements Must be currently pursuing a BA/BS in Data Science or STEM related field such as Engineering, Life Science, Chemistry, or Physics Must be at least a sophomore at the time of your application Must have >1 year experience in either Python or SQL Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Prior internship, work, or volunteer/extracurricular experience Proficient with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies quickly Excellent verbal and written communication skills Available to work full-time during the summer months (May-August) Proactive and solution-driven mindset Strong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for multiple departments Experience using PowerBI software Experience using JMP software >6 months' experience in a life science laboratory Asklepios BioPharmaceutical, Inc.
