Job Description

Regional Sales Manager – Northwest USA, Retail Market

Position Summary:

As a Regional Sales Manager for Bridor in the Northwest USA, you will be responsible for expanding the company's presence within Retail channels, particularly focusing on grocery stores, convenience stores, and the distributor network in Oregon & Washington. You will drive distributor growth, broker management, customer calls, trade shows, sales training, baking training, product presentations, and sampling of our products.

In this role, you will foster strong, long-term relationships with customers and prospects. You will develop territory-specific growth strategies and deliver compelling presentations to drive profitable sales.

Reports to: VP of Sales, USA

Territory: Northwest USA

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out and develop new opportunities to grow Bridor's product sales profitably within the Northwest region
  • Strategically plan, execute, evaluate, and present customer-specific marketing initiatives and R&D projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with key contacts at distributors, brokers, and accounts to grow Bridor’s business in the region
  • Develop annual business plans for key customers to maximize business opportunities and drive profitable growth
  • Leverage knowledge of the market and industry trends to identify potential new customers and open new sales channels
  • Conduct regular market visits with customers, brokers, distributors, website leads, and implement company initiatives
  • Analyze category, industry, and competitive trends to recommend proactive plans to grow and defend Bridor's sales and profits
  • Manage major projects and rollouts, ensuring successful communication and execution
  • Organize and participate in trade shows to represent Bridor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with grocery category managers, merchants, buyers, brokers, and distributors
  • Previous experience managing regional territories, with a focus on the retail sector

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong communication, sales planning, and product knowledge skills
  • Proven negotiating and closing skills
  • Ability to adhere to safety, health, environmental, and company rules
  • Understanding of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP
  • Knowledge of industry standards like BRC

Additional / Desired Skills:

  • Experience in sales, particularly within the Industrial Bakery industry
  • Strong marketing, analytical, and customer development skills
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing budgets

Working Conditions:

  • Travel required 50-70% for customer presentations, reviews, and shows within the Northwest region
  • Ability to work independently from a home office
  • Minimum 40-hour work week, with occasional weekend work as needed
