We are seeking a Rope Access Painter with level I, II, or III certification for position(s) in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This role covers boilers, pipes, tanks and refrigeration units with insulating materials, such as fiberglass, cork, plastic and magnesia to reduce loss or absorption of heat, prevent moisture condensation and to deaden sound, utilizing rope access. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• High school or equivalent
• Preferred experience with industrial coatings operations and best practices
• IRATA / SPRAT Level I, II, or III certification
• NCCER Certified is a plus
• NDE Certifications - VT, MT, UTT, PT
• Must have a capacity for work at height
• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Functional Requirements:

Performs surface preparation per specification to provide proper adhesion of material; utilizes various methods for surface preparation, including but not limited to solvent, hand tools, power tools, pressurized water jet, abrasive blast cleaning, etc.; applies protective coatings to customer assets for corrosion prevention, identification, hazard recognition, product purity, etc.; utilizes various methods including brush/roll, conventional spray, single/plural component airless spray, hand trowel, thermal spray aluminum, etc.; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
